Rachel Greatbatch

Through my career as a primary school teacher, I have followed my passion for working with children and have been privileged to play a part in helping them to learn, develop and grow. After having my own two beautiful boys, Teddy and Rupert, and experiencing the world of baby classes at The Mummas Village and seeing all the incredible developmental benefits they offer, I am delighted to now be joining the team of teachers and getting the opportunity to share these wonderful classes with lots of new parents and their babies.

Motherhood is both everything & nothing I expected it would be in those long ago days before my babies arrived.

Without a shadow of a doubt, it is the single best thing I have ever done, but that doesn’t mean it’s not challenging, overwhelming, & just downright tough & not fun at times.

Living far away from family support, I truly know and appreciate the value of the village you surround yourself with as a new parent, & I am so grateful for the community I found during pregnancy & then through baby classes after my sons arrived.

That’s what I love about The Mummas Village. It doesn’t just offer classes that empower you & help your babies develop through age appropriate activities, it also provides a welcoming environment that can make you feel less alone, & like there’s always someone there, who completely empathises with you in your parenting experience.

I found huge comfort & support in the hazy newborn days with the welcoming and inclusive approach, regardless of parenting styles and choices, & it will be an honour to be able to offer this same experience to families.

I am so excited to now be a part of The Mummas Village not just as a parent but also as a teacher. I look forward to welcoming you to class & supporting you at this special time in your life.
