Through my career as a primary school teacher, I followed my passion for working with children and was privileged to play a part in helping them to learn, develop and grow. After having my own two boys, Teddy and Rupert, and experiencing the world of baby classes at The Mummas Village and seeing all the incredible developmental benefits they offer, I am delighted to now be part of the teaching team and to share these wonderful classes with new parents and their babies.
Motherhood is both everything and nothing I expected it would be in those long-ago days before my babies arrived.
Without a shadow of a doubt it is the single best thing I have ever done, but that does not mean it is not challenging, overwhelming and just downright tough at times.
Living far away from family support, I truly know and appreciate the value of the village you surround yourself with as a new parent. I am so grateful for the community I found during pregnancy and then through baby classes after my sons arrived.
That is what I love about The Mummas Village. It does not just offer classes that empower you and help your babies develop through age-appropriate activities. It also provides a welcoming environment that can make you feel less alone, with someone who completely empathises with you in your parenting experience.
I found huge comfort and support in the hazy newborn days through the welcoming and inclusive approach here, regardless of parenting styles and choices, and it will be an honour to be able to offer that same experience to families in Haslemere, Liphook and the surrounding area.
